Grants of up to €500 are available to support activities to make football and its structures inclusive to all, and to increase the participation and representation of LGBT+ people in football.

Playing activities and tournaments can be supported in countries where LGBT+ people still face significant barriers to participation. Applicants should also consider hosting events that aim to deepen LGBT+ inclusion. This could include the production of educational resources, or creating debates around LGBT+ topics that have been marginalised.

Louise Englefield, Director of Football v Homophobia, said: “The partnership with Fare has helped us build an international campaign tackling anti-LGBT+ discrimination in football.

“This year we are hoping for applications that will help us move the agenda on to the next stage. We want applicants to think about how LGBT+ people are marginalised within their own football communities and what actions they can take to make a real difference.”

Piara Powar, Fare Executive Director, said: “Many LGBT+ people still face violence, discrimination and exclusion from mainstream society. This can be amplified in Football. February is an important period to drive change across Europe.”

The application process is open from 3rd December until 18.00 (CET)27th December 2018. Applicants will be informed by December 31st.

All activities should be implemented during February 2019.
