Estado, deporte, globalización y protesta social ¿Otro deporte es posible?

Partiendo del análisis de la relación movimiento-cuerpo,se demuestra el carácter socio-histórico del deporte y se ubica a fines del siglo XIX el surgimiento del deporte moderno, explicando su conformación hasta después de la segunda guerra mundial y determinando la relación Estado-Deporte en este proceso. Operada desde fines de la década del 60 del siglo XX hasta el XXI, se expone la gestación y consolidación de la globalización deportiva expresada como Empresa Transnacional Atípica de Espectáculo y Entretenimiento (EDTEE), se identifican, definen y describen sus unidades económicas y se analiza el papel y poder de cada una así como las relaciones que establecen entre sí. Se establecen las funciones del Estado en la globalización del deporte cumplidas a través de la política pública deportiva, considerando -particularmente- el papel del Estado ante la protesta social contra el deporte, teniendo como referencia las inéditas, insólitas y masivas manifestaciones de la población brasileña contra el Mundial de Fútbol Brasil 2014. Inmediatamente se explican características fundamentales (Desigualdad Deportiva Estructural; Trampas; “Trampas Legales”; Caridad y Beneficencia Social Interesada) de la EDTEE, y la reflexión final titulada ¿Otro deporte es posible? plantea la necesidad de repensar el deporte con el objetivo de empezar a discutir su superación e iniciar la creación de las bases teórico-conceptuales y concretas de una alternativa.

Based on analysis of the motion-body relationship, it is demonstrated the socio-historical influences of sport. The modern sport starts to emerge at the end of the nineteenth century; the structure of modern sport is explained after World War II when the relation State-Sport is established. At the end of the sixties, between the XX and XXI century, the sports globalization is gestated and consolidated through the Atypical Transnational Company of Show and Entertainment (EDTEE). the economics aspects, the role of State and sport as well as the relation between them are identifi, defined and described, . The State functions in the globalization of sport through the foundations of sport public policies are established. Particularly, focusing on the State role about the social protests against sport, it is noted the massive, unusual and unknown protest of the Brazilian population against the Football World Cup Brazil 2014. The main characteristics of the EDTEE are explained immediately (sports inequality, legal chicanery, profit-seeking charity and social welfare) that originates the entitled thought, is it possible another sport? This arises the need to reconsider the objective of sport, with the purpose of starting a debate about overcoming sport and initiate a theoretical and conceptual foundation in the search of a concrete alternative.
