Futebol feminino no Brasil do século XX

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar, alguns elementos sobre a prática do futebol feminino no Brasil. Trata-se de analisar a maneira como alguns agentes importantes tais como, o Estado, as organizações esportivas (Confederação Nacional de Desportos e os Clubes), a Imprensa esportiva, e a Ciência médica foram construindo um conjunto de normas e discursos regulatórios da maneira como às mulheres podiam ou não se dedicar aos esportes. A união dos discursos que desqualificavam o futebol feminino aliado as deliberações oficiais por parte do Estado fez com que as jogadoras de futebol fossem julgadas de acordo com estereótipos da época. As partidas por elas disputadas por muito tempo não tinham o caráter de jogo, como era visto o masculino, mas sim de espetáculo, de entretenimento, arrecadação de fundos com jogos beneficentes. Portanto, através das leituras específicas das Ciências Sociais e de uma visão do futebol enquanto elemento cultural, político, histórico e social foi possível analisar os desdobramentos do futebol feminino brasileiro pelas perspectivas dos agentes acima citados. Trata-se, portanto, de entender como a prática desse esporte pelas mulheres auxiliou na construção de uma nova forma de “ser mulher”, ou seja, uma nova forma de entender o corpo, os papeis sociais e as práticas direcionadas às mulheres, problematizando a divisão de gênero binário (masculino-feminino) e os projetos políticos do Estado Novo e do Regime Militar.

The present work aims to present, some elements on the practice of women ‘s soccer in Brazil. It is a question of analyzing the way in which some important agents such as The State, the sports organizations (National Confederation of Sports and Clubs), the Sports Press, and Medical Science have been building a set of norms and Women could or could not engage in sports. The Union of the speeches that disqualified the feminine soccer allied to the official deliberations on the part of the State caused that the soccer players were judged according to stereotypes of the time. The games played by them for a long time did not have the character of play, as was seen in the masculine, but of spectacle, of entertainment, of fundraising with beneficent games. Therefore, through the specific readings of the Social Sciences and a vision of football as a cultural, political, historical and social element, it was possible to analyze the unfolding of Brazilian women’s football through the perspectives of the agents mentioned above. It is, therefore, to understand how the practice of this sport by women helped in the construction of a new way of being a woman, that is, a new way of understanding the body, social roles and practices directed at women, problematizing the binary gender division (male-female) and the political projects of the New State and the Military Regime.
