Während sein Leben am seidenen Faden hängt, zieht eben jenes an uns in Form einer Serie vorbei: vom Glück am Probetraining der Argentinos Juniors teilzunehmen bis zu seinem Aufstieg zum Fußball-Heiligen beim SSC Neapel. Aber mit dem Erfolg kommen die Skandale. Abseits des Spielfeldes lässt die Hand Gottes keine Party aus und wird für Trainer und Vereinsbosse zu einem sehr schwierigen Spieler. Je höher Maradonas Stern stieg, umso mehr Abstürze und Rückschläge erlitt er. Es könnte alles nur ein Traum sein, wenn es nicht wirklich passiert wäre.
