Dos novos e velhos territórios no futebol: interstícios reflexivos do torcer na transição estádio/arena

O artigo tem como objetivo propiciar reflexões sobre as recentes transformações vislumbradas no futebol brasileiro, sobretudo na realidade mineira, em virtude da realização da Copa do Mundo de 2014. O foco principal é a mudança paulatina dos estádios em arenas, uma das exigências da FIFA e, por consequência, as (re) configurações das relações do torcer. Com características ensaísticas, o texto discute o objetivo proposto por meio de uma abordagem interdisciplinar, fundada na compreensão do futebol enquanto objeto das ciências humanas e sociais, problematizando as transformações por meio dos conceitos e das noções de território, topofilia, tradição e modernização.

The article aims at providing reflections on the recent changes envisioned in Brazilian football, especially in the Minas Gerais’ reality, due to the hosting of the World Cup 2014. The main focus is the gradual change of the stadiums in arenas, one of the requirements of FIFA and, therefore, the relations of football fans. With essayistic features, the text discusses the proposed through an interdisciplinary approach, based on the understanding of football as an object of human and social sciences, discussing the transformation through the concepts and notions of territory, topophilia, tradition and modernization.
