O futebol brasileiro como espaço de disputa política (1969-1980)

O uso do futebol pelo regime civil-militar brasileiro foi uma das estratégias de controle das instituições políticas e de busca pelo apoio da sociedade. O presente artigo pretende debater essas ações do governo brasileiro e suas reações no campo esportivo. Com o apoio de estudos de outros estudiosos do período, analisaremos essas medidas, bem como a organização do futebol brasileiro no período. A hipótese é de que o campo esportivo foi um espaço de disputa simbólica durante esse período.

The use of football by the Brazilian civil-military regime was one of the strategies of control of the political institutions and search for the support of society. The present article intends to discuss these actions of the Brazilian government and its reactions in the sports field. With the support of studies of other scholars of the period, we will analyze these measures, as well as the organization of Brazilian football in the period. The hypothesis is that the sports field was a space of symbolic dispute during this period.
