Viagem ao sistema bolar

Este trabalho é resultado de uma pesquisa de mestrado, vinculado à linha de pesquisa: “Ensino de Geografia”, do Programa de Pós-Graduação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS. O problema de pesquisa buscou a conexão entre o fenômeno futebol e o ensino de climatologia nas aulas de Geografia do 3º ano do Ensino Médio em uma escola pública estadual do município de Caxias – MA. Propor uma metodologia utilizando futebol como recurso didático é o objetivo principal. Para tanto, parte-se do pressuposto de que o futebol – como temática do cotidiano do jovem escolar, propicia um ensino aprendizagem significativo para os estudantes, potencializando a aprendizagem. Amparou-se a análise na contribuição significativa e propositiva do material empírico: dois questionários semiestruturados respondidos por 30 alunos do 3º ano do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública estadual. Após a aplicação dos questionários – um referindo-se ao perfil do aluno e outro sobre várias facetas da conexão: futebol x ensino de Geografia. Após a aplicação dos questionários, foram desenvolvidas oficinas teórico-práticas que tiveram como temática a Copa do Mundo na Rússia de 2018. Com os resultados obtidos após as oficinas, vislumbrei o quão é importante o elo entre o futebol e os conteúdos geográficos. Alguns dos resultados encontrados durante o processo investigativo revelaram a compreensão de que o futebol se configura como uma fonte geográfica e como tal, capaz de desenvolver os conteúdos de Geografia, em especial da Climatologia, bem como o seu caráter educativo gerador de habilidades como análise, interpretação, reflexão, além de propiciar a ampliação dos saberes dos jovens escolares. Ratifiquei, portanto que o futebol na sala de aula é mais do que uma ferramenta didática, pois envolvem questões subjetivas, históricas, políticas e devoção, amor ao futebol. O desenvolvimento da pesquisa potencializou o argumento de que o futebol é um importante mobilizador de aprendizagens geográficas, propiciando a reflexão, a curiosidade, a aproximação, a criticidade e a sustentabilidade dos estudantes.

This work is the result of a Master’s degree course research linked to the line of research: “Teaching of Geography”, of the Post-Graduation Program of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS. The research problem made a connection between the soccer phenomenon and the teaching of climatology in Geography classes with students of 3rd year of high school in a state public school in Caxias city of Maranhão state. The main objective is to propose a methodology using soccer as a didactic resource. Therefore, it is based on the assumption that soccer – as a theme of the everyday school youth lives provides a teaching learning meaningful which enhances learning. The analysis was based on the significant and propositive contribution of the empirical material: two semi-structured questionnaires answered by 30 students of the 3rd year of high school in a state public school. One questionnaire refers to the profile of the student and the other about several facets of the connection: soccer vs. geography teaching. After the application of the questionnaires, I applied theoretical-practical workshops that had the theme of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. With the results obtained after the workshops, I glimpsed how important the link between soccer and geographic content is. Some of the results found during the investigative process revealed the understanding that soccer is configured as a geographic source and as such, capable of serving the contents of Geography, especially Climatology, as well as offering its educational character that generates skills such as analysis, interpretation, reflection, as well as fostering the expansion of the knowledge of school youth. I ratified, therefore, that soccer in the classroom is more than a didactic tool, as it involves subjective, historical, political and devotional issues to whom loves soccer. The development of the research has potentiated the argument that soccer is an important mobilizer of geographic learning, fostering students’ reflection, curiosity, rapprochement, criticality and sustainability.
