A observação-participante nas torcidas portuenses: procedimentos, estapas e constrangimentos

Este texto apresenta uma descrição da observação-participante efetuada nas claques denominadas Alma Salgueirista, Coletivo Ultras 95, Panteras Negras e Super Dragões. Depois de uma breve introdução na qual se define o que são claques e se identificam também as raízes destes grupos no hooliganismo inglês e no Movimento Ultra italiano, são referidos os principais períodos da sua evolução em Portugal. Segue-se a apresentação das várias etapas pelas quais passou o processo de observação-participante das claques investigadas. Em cada uma delas é privilegiada a descrição de várias situações vividas no seio dos grupos observados. Apesar do destaque conferido à dimensão empírica, este texto contempla também a reflexão sobre a equação pessoal do investigador e sobre o papel com que este se apresentou na interação com os membros das claques, as lógicas em presença e a forma como estes o entenderam.

This text presents a description of the participant observation carried out in the Ultra Groups called Alma Salgueirista, Coletivo Ultras 95, Panteras Negras and Super Drago es.After a brief introduction in which ultra groups are defined and the roots of these groups in English Hooliganism and the Ultra Italian Movement are also highlighted, the main periods of their evolution in Portugal are mentioned.This is followed by the presentation of the various stages through which the participant observation process of the investigated Ultra groups went. In each of them, the description of various situations experienced within the observed groups is privileged.Despite the emphasis given to this empirical dimension, this text also includes the reflection on the researcher’s personal equation and about the role with which he presented himself in the interaction with the members of the Ultra groups, the logics in presence and the way they perceived him.
