The year of 2013 was representative for Brazilian football. After the “peck” from Emerson Sheik, Cortinthias’ forward, on businessman Isaac Azar, there was a wave of commentaries considered homophobic, not just against the people of the act, as well as Corinthias itself. The representative situation was the return of discussion about homosexuality, masculinity’s construction and football. In fact, these three themes cause discussion, whereas the Brazilian football is a curriculum of masculinity. However, when we verified the formation of fans’ associations of football clubs (in portuguese: torcidas organizadas), which agree with the occupation in stadiums by gays, as Coligay did (1977-1987), we realized that this process is not novelty at all. From Placar Magazine’s reports, we pretend to comprehend what this media writes about this fan association of football club. What’s the objective of self-affirming as homosexual in a space where there is masculinities’ (re)production? For masculinities’ (re)production, we understand that there is in stadiums and others reproduction spaces of football discourse a constant: the process of “pedagogization”, from which come actions that get associated to a way of being man (or not being man). Thus, this article intends to analyze these reports and relate them to the curriculum of masculinities’ concept, wishing to understand how and why Coligay affirms itself as a homosexual fan association of football club in a football space.
