Discursividades e implicações políticas da Copa do Mundo de 2014 nas charges de Carlos Latuf

Esta dissertação tem como principal objetivo a análise dos efeitos de sentido produzidos por charges de Carlos Latuff, referentes à Copa do Mundo de 2014. O foco da pesquisa é elucidar o processos de comunicação e formação de sentidos deste gênero comunicativo visual. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto, foram necessárias reflexões sobre as relações entre charge, ideologia e construção da prática discursiva. As charges elencadas focalizam o desenvolvimento da Copa do Mundo de 2014 e seus impactos no Brasil. As análises consistem em três temas: as hashtags que movimentaram as manifestações, a resistência na Aldeia Maracanã e os gastos excessivos do dinheiro público durante a vigésima Copa do Mundo. O recorte foi realizado com base em produções que permitem a reconstrução do percurso histórico, considerando os protestos e insatisfações dos manifestantes em relação ao megaevento e o conturbado cenário nacional da época. Selecionamos as charges de Latuff devido à sua significativa produção iconográfica do respectivo período; vale ressaltar que este chargista tem grande projeção artística e política e seus trabalhos estão distribuídos mundialmente. A pesquisa realizada é pautada pelos pressupostos teóricos da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa (AD), tendo como principal referência os estudos de Michel Pêcheux, divulgados no Brasil, principalmente, por Eni Orlandi e o método iconológico de Erwin Panofsky. Este trabalho justifica-se por considerar o caráter informativo e opinativo das charges e sua ampla circulação social e contribui para uma análise discursiva dos processos de comunicação e informação, com vista à formação de leitores críticos dessas discursividades. Com relação ao discurso expresso nas charges de Carlos Latuff, encontramos um perfil de resistência e denúncia, composto por outros discursos que se construíram durante os preparativos e após a realização da Copa de 2014. O cenário de violência, repressão e abuso dos governos para garantir a execução dos jogos e conclusão do megaevento, concomitantes aos gastos do dinheiro público, corrupções e crise política, se apresentaram em oposição à resistência expressa pela população em forma de movimentos e protestos. O levantamento historiográfico demostrou que o país perdeu não apenas dentro, mas também fora de campo. A Copa do Mundo de Futebol da FIFA de 2014 foi prejudicial para diversas camadas da população brasileira, e favorável para algumas empresas que lucraram com o megaevento, para alguns políticos e para a FIFA. Em resposta à questão formulada no início do trabalho, concluímos que os efeitos de sentido das charges analisadas se dão a partir da relação entre as suas condições imediatas de produção (historicidade) e o interdiscurso (memória discursiva) que atravessam o objeto discursivo. No entanto, pode-se considerar que o sentido nunca é fechado em si, novas leituras e interpretações são permanentemente possíveis.

This work aims to analyze the effects of meaning produced by Carlos Latuff ‘s charges about the 2014 World Cup. The focus of the research is to elucidate the processes of communication and the formation of meanings of this visual communicative genre. In order to achieve this goal, it was necessary to reflect no the relations between charge, ideology and construction of discursive. Some of the cartoons produced by Latuff that focused on the development of the 2014 World Cup and its impacts in Brazil. The clipping was made considering the charges that can reconstruct the historical trajectory and that considered the protesters and the popular manifestations dissatisfied on the sporting event, as well as the turbulent national situation of the time. We selected the works of Latuff because of his significant iconographic production of the period, it is worth mentioning that this cartoonist has a great artistic and political projection, his works are distributed all over the world. The research we carry out is based on the theoretical assumptions of the Discourse Analysis of French line, has as main reference the studies of Michel Pêcheux, divulged in Brazil mainly by Eni Orlandi and the iconological method of Erwin Panofsky. This work is justified by considering the informative and opinionated nature of the cartoons and its wide social circulation and contributes to a discursive analysis of the communication and information processes, it aims at the formation of critical readers of these discursivities. Regarding the speech expressed in Carlos Latuff’s charges, we find in them a profile of resistance and denunciation, composed of other discourses that were constructed during the preparations and after the 2014 World Cup. The scenario of violence, repression and abuse of governments to ensure the execution of the games and the conclusion of the sporting event, along with public money spending, corruption and political crisis were presented in opposition to the resistance expressed by the population in the form of movements and protests. The historiographical survey showed that the country lost not only in but also outside the stadiums. The 2014 FIFA World Cup was favorable to FIFA, to companies that benefited from the mega-event and to some politicians. In response to the question formulated at the beginning of the paper, we conclude that the meaning effects of the analyzed charges occur from the relation between their immediate conditions of production (historicity) and the interdiscourse (discursive memory) that cross the discursive object. However, it can be considered that the meaning is never closed in itself, new reading and interpretations are permanently possible.
