Esporte e a sociedade global: as subjetividades na contemporaneidade

O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir a interface identidade, esporte, globalização (sob a égide do desenvolvimento tecnológico, da tradição) e a contradição entre a afirmação da identidade e o incremento tecnológico no avanço da globalização no contexto esportivo. Quando se pensa no caráter conferido ao esporte ao longo dos tempos, vemo-lo engendrado como articulador de subjetividades na vida do ser humano. O esporte, enquanto atividade humana, modifica não apenas o mundo, mas também o homem que o executa, mergulhado em uma sociedade que, a partir da exaltação teórica da categoria esporte, vê-se transformada, efetivamente, como um todo: agora vista como uma sociedade de esportistas. Com o advento de singulares formas de organização do esporte o indivíduo viu-se não mais pautando sua vida em necessidades de pertencimento à família, às comunidades, às organizações sociais, mas sim impelido a acreditar em possibilidades de desenvolvimento de si como sujeito autônomo e livre. 

The purpose of this study is to discuss the interface: identity, sport, globalization (based on both the technological development and tradition), and the contradiction between the identity affirmation and the technological increment in the advance of the globalization concerning the sportive context. Considering the character conferred to sport with time, it is seen as having an articulating role of subjectivities in the human being’s life. The sport, as a human activity, modifies not only the world, but also the subject who performs it, immersed in a society that, from the theoretical exaltation of the sport category, is effectively changed as a whole: now seen as a society of sportsmen. With the advent of singular forms of sport organization, men saw themselves not basing their life in necessities of belonging to the family, the communities, the social organizations, but constrained to believe in possibilities of their own development as autonomous and free subjects.
