Futebol moderno e a busca pelo capital

A presente pesquisa enfoca a temática da modernização do esporte e, mais precisamente, do futebol brasileiro. O objetivo principal do estudo é identificar as estratégias do Clube Atlético Paranaense (CAP) para aumentar o seu volume de capital, econômico e simbólico, a fim de alcançar melhores resultados no campo esportivo em que está inserido. Este estudo de caso tem uma abordagem exploratória e qualitativa e está baseado em um referencial teórico que trata da atualidade do esporte moderno mundial, comparado com os dados relacionados ao clube investigado. A hipótese encontrada é a de que o CAP busca adquirir capital simbólico mediante investimentos em patrimônio, esperando com isso atrair capital econômico para sobreviver no mercado do futebol. Os dados obtidos comprovam a hipótese formulada e demonstram que os resultados apresentados pelo CAP, dentro e fora de campo, são expressivos. Conclui-se que o CAP, com as estratégias utilizadas, criou uma lógica segundo a qual o capital econômico, representado por seu patrimônio, o levou a atingir um determinado capital simbólico. E este capital simbólico, por sua vez, vem proporcionando o aumento do capital econômico do clube, por meio de novas possibilidades de arrecadação.

The present research it focuses the theme of the modernization of the sport and, more precisely, of the Brazilian soccer. The main objective of this study is to identify the strategies of the Clube Atletico Paranaense (CAP) to increase his volume of capital, economical and symbolic, in order to reach better results in the sporting field in that it is inserted. This case study has an exploratory and qualitative approach, and it is based on a theoretical referencial that report of the present time of the world modern sport, compared with the related data to the investigated club. The hypothesis that appears is so that the CAP looks for to acquire symbolic capital through investments in patrimony, with objective to attract economical capital, to survive at the market of the soccer. The obtained data prove the formulated hypothesis and they demonstrate that the results presented by CAP, inside and outside of field, they are expressive. It is ended that CAP, with the used strategies, created a type of logic, where the symbolic capital takes to the economical capital and the economical capital takes to the symbolic capital. This symbolic capital come from adjusting the increase to the economical capital the clubhouse, through news possibility of collect duties.
